This policy explains how AI Vitamin (“AI Vitamin”, “we”) handles personal information when you use www.aivitamin.xyz. It covers this directory, not the devices or manufacturer websites we link to.
Information we handle
You can browse our directory without creating an account. Our hosting and security providers may process technical request information such as your IP address, browser, requested page and request time to deliver and protect the site. If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send.
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate use of the directory. Google Analytics may process information such as pages viewed, the page that referred you, browser and device details, interaction events and approximate location inferred from IP address. We use this information to understand which pages are useful and to improve the service; we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Registered account holders and authorized editors have accounts. We process their email address, authentication identifiers and session information. For editors, we also process uploaded content and a record of content changes to operate the management area. Supabase handles authentication; we do not store readable account passwords in our application database.
Why we use information
We use information to deliver pages and images, authenticate account holders and editors, manage listings and articles, understand aggregate use of the directory, respond to enquiries, address errors and prevent misuse. Where European or UK data protection law applies, we rely on legitimate interests in running a secure directory, performance of an applicable contract, legal obligations, or consent where required. Our interests do not override rights that take precedence under applicable law.
Cookies and browser storage
Account and editor sign-in use essential session cookies. Directory searches and filters are reflected in the page URL. Google Analytics may set or read analytics cookies or similar identifiers to measure traffic. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-context behavioral advertising. You can control cookies in your browser, although disabling essential cookies may prevent editor sign-in and disabling analytics storage can limit our traffic measurement.
Service providers and external links
We use Cloudflare Workers, D1, KV and R2 to host and operate the directory, its content and its images. Supabase handles account and editor authentication. Google Analytics provides audience measurement. These providers process information needed to perform their services. We may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights and security. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Following a manufacturer link takes you to a separate service with its own privacy practices. AI Vitamin does not receive the recordings, health measurements or other device data you provide to a manufacturer merely because the device appears in our directory.
Retention and international processing
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including account administration, resolving enquiries, security and legal obligations. Deletion from backups follows the relevant provider’s retention cycle. Providers may process information outside your country. Where required, appropriate safeguards must apply to international transfers.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may request access, correction, deletion or a copy of your personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; and withdraw consent for processing based on consent. We may need to verify your identity and assess legal exceptions before acting. You may complain to your local data protection authority. Eligible residents may exercise applicable state privacy rights without unlawful discrimination.
Children
This directory is intended for adults researching products. Listing a children’s device does not make this service directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Security and updates
We use access controls and other reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no system can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy when the service changes and will revise the date above. Material changes will be communicated as appropriate.
