PLAUD Note supports in-person conversations and phone-call recording. For phone-call recording, attach it to the back of the phone using its magnetic case. Follow Plaud’s current guidance and obtain consent where required.

Plaud describes extended recording time, long-range microphones and a one-press hardware control as advantages over opening an app on a phone. No. Plaud lists up to 300 transcription minutes per month on the included Starter plan. Plaud also offers paid AI membership plans for people who need a larger allowance.

Plaud says that Note is engineered to record effectively in larger spaces such as big meeting rooms, lecture halls and conferences. Actual intelligibility depends on the room, speakers and microphone placement.

The serial number is printed on the recorder box label. You can also open the Plaud App, enter the device settings page and view the serial number there.

In-person mode applies to meetings, voice memos, interviews, lectures and similar settings. For phone-call recording, Plaud Note needs to be attached to the back of the phone because its internal vibration-conduction sensor picks up sound directly from the phone speaker.

Before updating, Plaud says to make sure Note is charging with a charger rather than a computer, is not recording and is connected to the Plaud App. Open the Plaud App, enter your Plaud Note and tap Firmware Update.

With the battery fully charged, Plaud lists up to 30 hours of continuous recording.

While connecting Plaud Note to a power source with the original charging cable, press and hold the Record button for 15 seconds. When the indicator light turns off, Plaud Note has been reset.
